1月 6日 木曜日. 明るい朝の空. じゃ, 今日も大きい声で言ってみましょう！

今週は新年特集で ' My promise as a Parent (親としての私の約束)'

を 約 5回に分けて紹介いたします. 今日は その 3回目です.

My promise as a Parent  ( このような親になりたい ) - 3/5

 

（子供が）意地を張ると権威を振りかざして叱るより、子供は両親の鏡と悟って

先ず己を省みる事にします。

子供のニーズに合わせて関心を持ち、子供の夢を尊重します。

もめ事を起こして罰を与えなければならないとしたら、誤りを正して上げるように

していることだと子供に優しく話します。

 

I won't tell her off when she is being stubborn, but first repent myself

for she is reflection of me.

I promise to listen and try to understand her needs. And I will respect

her dreams.

When I have to punish her for what she done wrong, I will softly let her

know that I'm just trying to correct what is wrong.

 

tell off  (口語) 叱る  stubborn  意地を張る,  repent  悔いる, 反省する 

ここで repent myself は 私自分をまず反省する  reflection  反映, 反射  try to do... ..するように

努力する, 参考で try ..ing (同名詞)は  ..を試してみる   needs  (名) 必要 , 必要なもの

respect  尊重する  punish 罰を与える  for what she done wrong  彼女が間違ったことについて

let + 人 + 原形動詞 let は 使役動詞で ( 人が望む通り )するようにしてあげる   correct   

間違ったことを正しく直す   what is wrong  何が間違っているか  softly  優しく 

 

この機会に 動詞 promise 使い方完全に 征服する

 

I will tell you the secret, but you must promise not to tell anyone.

           アナタに秘密を話してあげる, でも 誰にも話をしないことを (私に)約束してくれ

 

=  I will tell you the secret, but you must promise (me) not to tell anyone.

 

** (私に) 約束してくれ の promise (me)....の me (間接目的語) は 普通省略するのが特徴

 

I cannot promise (you) anything  (アナタに) 何も約束できない

 = I cannot promise anything

  ** ここで, ( アナタに約束する)の you (間接目的語)は 普通省略する
