[ 副詞 so は 樣態, 程度, 代用で 用います ]
[ この中でも 今日は 代用 - 先行の 句,節の 代用 を 勉強しましょう ]
1. that節の 代用 ; say, think, hope, expect, guess, believe, imagine 後ろで that節 代わりに.
2. 動詞句の 代用 ; 先行の 動詞、動詞句の 代わりに用います
A ; Do you think it will be fine tomorrow?
B ; I hope so. ( so = it will be fine )
A ; Will it rain tomorrow?
B ; I am afraid so. ( so = it will rain )
B ; I am afraid so. ( so = it will rain )
A ; Do you think it will be fine tomorrow?
B ; I am afraid not ( not = it won't be fine )
