Today is Tuesday - Let's start today by saying that;

[ 今日は 重要な副詞の中で still を 勉強しましょう ]
[ still は 形容詞としては 日本語で "静止した、じっとした、動かない" 意味, 副詞としては
"まだ, それでも...まだ" の 意味になる]
[ 重要なことは still が 副詞として 使われる時には、 "一般動詞 前で 動詞を 修飾し, 形容詞,
副詞 前で 形容詞, 副詞を 修飾する" との 事です. これが 副詞の 本来 機能です ]

[ "静かな夜" を 英語では? a still night ] (形容詞)

[ 皆さん, still は "動かない, 静止した" の 意味で 形容詞として よく 知っていますが, 副詞としても
よく 使います. 副詞として 使う時は " まだ, それでも まだ"の 意味です. ]
[ 特に, still....not ...の 形で, " まだ ....じゃない/ではない.." の 意味で よく 使います ]
[ また, although, but ..still の 形で 使って, "...., そてもで ..まだ..." の 意味で よく 使います ]
