今日は ' It .... ' を 表現の中で, 日本で ' ....のようだ 'と何かの様子を表す
次の表現を勉強しましょう。.
It seems as if... (..のようだ )
It looks as if ..... ( ...のようだ)
It sounds as if .. (...のようだ )
It sounds as if there is somebody at the door. ( 窓に誰がいるようだ )
= It sounds as though there is somebody at the door.
= It sounds like there is somebody at thr door.
= It sounds that there is sobody at the door.

The scandal surrounding the ambassador forced him to resign.
It looks as if his brilliant career as an elite diplomat is as good as over.
その大使は自分にまつわるsacandalによって辞任に追い込まれた。エリート

that や like にしてもOK. そして, as if ....の表現は仮定法ではないので, 直接法で表現します.
