Seq 358 ( unit 16  It を用いた表現 ) : lesson 25 < it.....[副詞節] ....の構文 >

 

今日は ' It ...... 副詞節 ~~ ' 構文を勉強しましょう. ここでいう 副詞節は,

我々が作文などでよく使う表現です.

 

(a) It .........if ........   (もし ...ならそれは.....) 

(b) It .........whether ....or..... (....であれ ...であれそれは...)

(c) It........when...... (...する時それは...)

 

(a) It is not yer clear if [whether ] it will have any effect on the environment.

     それが環境に何らかの影響を及ぼすかどうかはまだはっきりしない

 

(b) I would appreciate it if you could call me tonight. 今晩電話を頂けたらありがたいのですが

 

(c) It makes no difference whether they are men or women.

　　男であろうが女であろうが、そんなことは関係ありませんよ. 

 

(d) I hate it when my parents argue. 親が口論する時が、私はとても嫌なのです

 

例文＞

 

" Would it be all right if I used your mobile phone?"

" By all means. Let's see....There it is. It is in the right-hand

corner, next to the TV set. "

 

" 携帯電話を使わせてもらっていいですか?"

" どうぞどうぞ。えーっと、あっ、あそこです。右手の隣のテレビの隣にあります,"

 

単語>

all right ; 問題ない OKである.

By all means  ; もちろん.ぜひどうぞ ( = of course, certainly )

right-hand ; 右手に、右側に

next to... ; ...隣に

 

説明> 上の例文で 副詞節 it .... if... で if 節は 仮定法である. 仮定法の if....も副詞節である.
