The coffee is getting cold.   = Drink your coffee. It is getting cold. ( it = the coffee ).   ** It is getting cold. が単独で使う場合は、天気が寒くなったくる ( it は天気を表す主語 )   今日の英語一語 ( 英語でよく使う  get  )   来週結婚します : I am getting married next week.   -> 皆さん, 相手に '結婚しましたか?' と すでに結婚した状態 かを尋ねる時は?      A : Are you married?    B : No, I am not married.        = No, I am single.       ** be married は すでに結婚している状態を表す.      でも. '(今から) 結婚することになる, 結婚する' は get married で言います. それで,      A : I am getting married next week.    B : "Oh, really?
