I have felt indescribable sympathy with broken heart and grief on the

losses of several thousands of lives and serious damages by the ever biggest

earthquake and Tsunami occurred in Japan in March 11 2011.

 

I wish Japan's speedy recovery from the devastating earthquake.

 

今回日本で起きた前例のない大きな地震とTsunamiによる被害者達と家族を失った

人々の悲しみを一緒にするとともに、日本の早い復旧を願いずつ、信じております。

Today's English expression

Cold weather has increased the hardship for disaster victims and rescuers.

 

寒い天気が被害に合った人々(disaster victims) と救助隊(rescuers)に困難(hardship)

を増大させています(increased)。

 

Rescuers report that some victims have been exposed to cold weather and

water, in some cases for days. Conditions are expected to worsen, with

temperatures forecast to drop below freezing by Wednesday across portions

of the earthquake zone, accompanied by snow, heavy rain and the threat of

mudslides.

 

救助隊に依れば一部の被害者は寒い天気と水にさらされていて、ある場合は何日もの間さらされて

いたと言います。（これから）状況が更に悪化しそうです。地震発生地域では水曜まで気温が零下

まで下がって、雪と大雨、土石流の危険も同伴されるそうです。
