説明; 動詞 leave は ' を ...な状態のままに置く' の 意味で 5文型で よく使う他動詞.

ここでは leave your room = locked で部屋をいつも閉めておくの意味。

'...を ...な状態のままに置く' の意味でよく使われる文型が,keep 以外にも,

leaveがあります.

 

leave ; (他動詞) ..を...な状態のままにおく, ..を...のままにおく

Leave nothing undone. 

Someone has left the water running.

You must leave your room locked.

 

( 目的補語 Cが 形容詞の場合 ) / that door = open

( 目的補語 Cが 過去分詞の場合 ) / nothing = undone

( 目的補語 Cが 現在分詞の場合 ) / the water = running

( 目的補語 Cが 過去分詞の場合 ) / your room = locked

1. 5文型で 目的補語 (C)は このように, 形容詞か 分詞(現在,過去分詞)が よく来ます!

次の例文も, 目的補語で 分詞を使っています. 例えば,
