答え; It is no use telling her - she won't listen.

 

説明; ' it is no use[good]...ing - ...しても仕方がない[無駄だ]' という動名詞を用いた慣用表現.

この場合の use, goodは, '仕方, 利益' の意味です. There is no use[good]...ing も同じ意味です.

= We cannot know when she will come

= It is impossible to know what he will do

 

説明> この表現は '口語'です. この表現を to不定詞で表現すると, '...する方法がない' となる. 

上の表現は この to不定詞表現を動名詞で表現したことで, 口語だと理解しましょう.
 

There is no way to know what will happen in the future.

There is no way to tell when she will come.

There is no way to know what he will do.

1. it is no use[good] ...ing 表現で, use, goodは 名詞で '仕方, 利益' の意味になります.

2. It is no use[good] ...ing..;で it is...が 仮主語, ...ingが 慎主語になります.
