説明;'to watch the news' が ( newsを見に )で '目的を表す to不定詞の副詞用法'.

'to不定詞副詞用法 目的'は 日本語で '....しに, ..するために'

1. 'to不定詞 副詞 用法'とは?

 

He stopped to smoke 彼は タバコ吸うために止まった

He stopped smoking かれは タバコをやめた

( stop は '動名詞'を目的語にする他動詞, to不定詞は目的語にしない )

 

答え ;

'to+動詞' が '名詞'の役割をして '主語, 補語, 目的語' 役割をすることを'to不定詞名詞的 用法'

'to+動詞' が '名詞'を 後ろから修飾することは 'to不定詞 形容詞的 用法'

'to+動詞' が 名詞 以外に, 動詞,形容詞,文章を 修飾することを 'to不定詞 副詞的用法'

'to不定詞 副詞 用法'は '目的', '結果', '感情の原因', '判断の根拠' などを表す

 

'to不定詞副詞用法' も ' 今から...する'の 意味で '未来指向的' 行動を表します.

 

今日は '目的' (...しに, ..するために) を 勉強します.

今日は 'seek' (過去形 sought) ;

 

seek(他動詞) + 目的語 ;...を(得るために) 求める, 探す, 追求する

seek(他動詞) + to do ;...しようと試図する = try to do....

 

seek(自動詞) + for[after] + 名詞 ; (自動詞が 後ろに名詞を持つためには, 前置詞が必要)

..を得るために追求する

1. seek fame [power, wealth]

2. seek the truth

3. seek the solution to a problem

4. Drivers are advised to seek alternative routes.
